Cullerin Ranges Wind Farm
From MoxyWiki
[edit] General Description
Cullerin Range Wind Farm is a medium sized wind farm located in New South Wales. It is operated by Origin Energy as part of their commitment to renewable power generation.
[edit] Properties
The Nameplate Capacity of the plant is 30MW [1].
The first cost of power of the plant is $3. This is derived from dividing total cost cost of the project being $95000000 [1] by the nameplate capacity listed above.
The estimated energy output of the plant is 100GWh/year. This is derived from a statement in the Origin Energy media release [1] stating that there will be 100,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided per year as a result of this installation. With the emissions of centralized NSW electricity generation being 1 tonne CO2e/MWh [2], and assuming negligible emissions of CO2 from the wind farm annually, this equates to a 100GWh/year.
The operation cost for the plant is $0.004/kWh [2].
The average CO2 emissions for the plant is 0.01 tonnesCO2e/MWh [2].
The plant is connected to the grid.
