This plant is located in a region of very rich biomass. Geoff is proposing that we could investigate the idea of using biomass to hybrid the existing plant.The idea is that currently this project is getting a very low capacity for its electricity, which is causing the resultant cost per MWh to be extremely high.By adding a hybrid biomass facility, there is the opportunity to lower this overall cost significantly.
It is reliant on the Ontario Feed in Tariff to ensure sufficient return on the capital investment to make the project economically viable.
