Monocrystalline Solar Cell
From MoxyWiki
General Description
Monocrystalline Solar Cells are the most efficient commercially available single layer photovoltaic device yet developed. They consist of a single crystal of very pure silicon that is sliced into thin sheets. Monocrystalline panels are very efficient, but suffer from several drawbacks in that they perform poorly when heated or when the angle of solar incidence is high. Due to the difficulty of growing single silicon crystals, they are also very expensive.
Properties of Monocrystalline Solar Cell Units
