[edit] General Description
In January 2010, the NSW government has passed policy to provide feed in tariffs for the generation of renewable energy in an effort to promote the adoption of the technology.
[edit] General Description
NSW has approved the introduction of feed in tariffs to support the propagation of distributed generation. The program is set to begin on January 1, 2010, and has a specified duration of 20 years. It is primarily directed at residential and smaller generation facilities, so has a specified system limit size of 10kW peak.
[edit] Properties
The price of the feed in tariffs will be $0.60/kWh [1].
The model type of the program is Net, which means that the tariff is accrued only for the net contributions to the grid after the household consumption is taken into account.
The metering type to be used for this model is 0.25 times the energy produced by the solar array, also known as gross metering.
