Queensland's Coal Resrves
Queensland has in total more than 30 billion (30000 Mt) tonnes (raw coal in-situ) of coal identified by drilling. The State has identified resources of coking coal, amounting to about 11 billion tonnes, of which about 4 billion tonnes is suitable for open-cut mining[1].
