The Shenhua Energy direct coal liquefaction project is located at Ordos in Inner Mongolia, coordinates 39.608182°, 109.781202°Latitude: 39°36′29.455″N
Longitude: 109°46′52.327″E.

The capacity of the demonstration plant, commissioned in December 2008, is 1MTA. Planned capacity of the second stage of the project is 5MTA^[1]
